The Housing Committee shall have the power to establish such procedures or regulations as are necessary for the successful operation and maintenance of the Chapter real estate, subject to the advice and consent of the Chapter, but not in conflict with the Constitution, Ritual or Statues of Kappa Alpha Psi, the Kappa Alpha Psi Property Trust Agreement and/or these regulations and Bylaws.

The Housing Committee shall consist of 9 Alumni Chapter Members, including the Polemarch, Keeper of Records, the Keeper of Exchequer and 6 members elected for 3 year terms, 2 annually by a majority of the members present and voting.

The Housing Committee shall hold one regular business meeting each month of the calendar year.  Special meetings may be called by the Chairman whenever necessary upon proper notification to all members of the Committee.  5 of the members of the Committee shall constitute a quorum.

The Housing Committee shall keep written minutes of its meetings and file copies of the same with the Board of Directors at its next regular meeting.

The Housing Committee shall control the operation, maintenance, development and acquisition of Chapter real estate, personal properties and appurtenances attached thereto and shall make plans, arrangements and outline regulations for use of the Chapter House.

The Housing Committee shall recommend to the Chapter a plan of real estate acquisition, an annual per capita assessment for sustaining Alumni Members and an annual per Chapter assessment for Active Chapters, which utilize the Chicago Alumni Chapter properties.

The Housing Committee shall employ such staff and expertise as is necessary to the accomplishment of their responsibilities, provided no experts, consultants of any type or regular or full time employees shall be hired without provision for such employees in the annual budget appropriation of the Chapter unless otherwise approved by the Chapter.
