A 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization

The Edward Giles Irvin Foundation was established in 2001, as the philanthropic arm of the Chicago Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.  It is a separate non-profit, tax exempt, publically supported organization.  Its major purpose is to foster critical skills and positive personal choice selections by strengthening Africa American youth, especially males, who face critical challenges achieving personal success and in reaching their full potential to become contributing members of society.  The vision of the Foundation is to become the premier philanthropic organization in Chicago delivering culturally relevant, effective and efficient services to African American youth.
